7. How do I determine my balance?

When purchases are made, funds are deducted from your account, and your remaining balance is displayed on the terminal. You may also inquire at the Campus Card Services Office or any register that accepts CampusCash. You may also check your balance online by logging in to your CampusCash account at http://campuscash.sandiego.edu.

8. Why should I use CampusCash?

There are a number of advantages to using CampusCash. Some are listed below:

CampusCash gives you flexibility and is convenient to use.

  • Save time: CampusCash is faster than checks or cash.
  • CampusCash value additions are easy to make and are available within minutes. Anyone can add value to your account, but only you, with your ID, can make purchases.
  • Your balance carries forward as long as you have a valid ID.
  • If you accidentally lose your ID, your funds are secure and immediately available when you receive a replacement card.
  • There are no membership fees, service charges, or minimum balances or "buy-in" required.

9. Are there any 'terms & conditions' I need to know about CampusCash?

There are a few things to be aware of:

  • CampusCash accounts are not transferable.
  • No interest or other earnings will be paid to the holder or credited by USD.
  • Restitution is required for overdrafts resulting from off-line transactions.
  • USD is not responsible for any lost or stolen cards.

  • Current account statements are available online at our CampusCash site, http://campuscash.sandiego.edu.

10. Can my parents or guardian have access to information regarding my account?                                                                                                                                         Due to FERPA rules, we are required by law to only disseminate information about the student's account to individuals that the student has given us such written permission. The form required is now online.

11. Who is required to have a parking permit on campus?

Parking permits are required by all persons with a vehicle on the USD campus, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. USD Public Safety enforces all parking rules. Fines are steep, and knowledge of parking rules (issued at the time a permit is purchased) is important to avoid a parking ticket.
